Flashback

I had a major flashback coming back from grocery shopping tonight. We went to the new Wal-Mart that opened up near us (a little too far away though, realized Publix is closer so we probably won't be going back to Wally World). On the drive back home I noticed a sign for Camp Fulton/Truitt, a 4-H camp that I went to way back when. Apparently, they don't have camps at Camp Fulton/Truitt anymore... they moved the "Atlanta" camp OTP (go figure) to Hampton near the Atlanta Motor Speedway. I still can't believe it though... I went to 4-H camp in College Park?! Crazy.

We're back

The days off of work were nice, but it wasn't an actual vacation. We saw snow in Ohio... wish we could see snow more often in Atlanta... it's so much prettier than rain.

On the go

The next few days we have stuff lined up for every night. Not a huge deal, but I will miss being able to just spend quiet time at home. Tonight is trivia night number 1, which is always great... the past two weeks we have come in 2nd place. Wednesday night is the new version of APWBWGTTD. Thursday is trivia night number 2, but before that I potentially have jury duty (I'm on standby status, which means I have to call the night before to see if I have to go or not). This is the third time I have gotten a jury summons. I guess the people at the Fulton County Superior Court really think I should be on one of their juries. Even if they do pick me this time (as of now I'm 0 for 2), I have an excuse to get out of it, but not really a happy one though...

it's for a family funeral in Ohio. My grandmother passed away this past Saturday morning. She really hadn't been the same since having open heart surgery a while back. It was her time. I grew up living with my mom and my grandparents. Grandpa died in 1991 and I went to that funeral as well. I'm guessing this one won't be that different. It's hard to believe that grandma lived 15 1/2 years after he died. They never really showed much public affection for each other when I was growing up, but when he died you could tell that it really affected her. I could never imagine that.

Anyways... this weekend, Barry gets to meet more people from his new family... and I will (possibly) gorge myself on Bob Evans... yum.

This weekend's project

I basically just copied a design from a flyer I found in Home Depot and custom fit it to our closet. We bought all the parts at HD Friday. Yesterday, I took down the old shelf/bar, filled in about a million 1/4" holes, and painted. Today, Barry gets to put everything up. We might even put wood trim on the shelving to match all of our wood hangers. Yay, organization!

How I Met Your Mother

This is one of the funniest things on TV yet... I love this show (... and Dirty Dancing).
