European Vacation III
Today is the day... off to Amsterdam! Be back in a week.

Wasting the day away
My day today consisted of ~4 hours of work, ~2.5 hours of surveying properties for my internship, and many many hours of doing not much else. Barry and I keep telling ourselves that if we stay inside the apartment, we won't be spending any unnecessary money. I am so tempted to buy lots of new stuff for the trip to Europe next week. (Yes, I said Europe! To be more specific... Amsterdam, with day trips to Brussels and Paris and possibly elsewhere in the Benelux.*) Yay for Europe! I am really itching to buy a digital camera. Barry has one, but I want my own darn it. Especially since one of my intern buddies just got a new Canon 4MP camera (A520 I think)... I take pictures with her camera and am like... hmmm, I sure would like a shiny new camera to take pictures with too. Of course, I want to go up a step and get the 5MP (A95) with swiveling LCD screen. And of course (being a girl) I want to get a new bag and some new shoes for the trip. But alas, I am poor. =( Maybe I'll splurge though... just so I can keep my poor status and go into debt even more!
In other purchasing power news, I went to IKEA over the weekend (bad idea... don't go to IKEA on a weekend, stick to weekdays, less traffic, less people who go to see the store and not buy anything) and bought stuff for my closet and kitchen. Yay for wood hangers, shoe organizers, storage jars, a jigger, and martini glasses!
Ok, time for music trivia!

Enough music posts...
let's talk about food!
Last night, Barry and I went to eat at Pricci (cause we had a gift card for the month of July). I had a very good Caprese salad and a pretty good Crab/Vegetable Risotto. BLRG always has good food! Might have to get my Maytag-Blue-Cheese-Artery-Clogging-Potato-Chips fix at Buckhead Diner soon.
Saw a write up in the Peach Buzz today and was curious about Jermaine Dupri's new restaurant... finally found the website. It's called Café Dupri. I think it's hilarious that he chose "So So Good" as its tag line. Oh and breakfast served all day. Will definitely have to check it out sometime.

iTunes
Woo! 1000+ songs!
My new favorite is #709 Thé à la menthe (Mint Tea). First heard on Ocean's 12.
